The Bead Society of Greater Washington will host their 56th Semi-Annual Bead Bazaar this weekend (November 10-11, 2012) at BOHRER PARK.

The proceeds from the Bazaar help fund the the BSGW’s educational and outreach programs, lecture series and other activities.

A new feature at this bazaar will be the presence of a well-known vendor with a 35-year career specializing in Wire Wrapping. Bring your beads, cabochons & pendants to be made into jewelry.

Since 1984, the Spring and Fall Bead Bazaars have grown to include up to seventy vendors from around the world offering beads and findings, ancient, antique and tribal; tools and equipment; contemporary designer jewelry and books. Bead related demonstrations on various bead making techniques are presented.

Don’t forget to bring your “mystery beads”. The Society’s experts at the Bead ID table will identify them without charge. The selection at the Society’s Book Store offers a wide variety of books on beads and beadwork: history, culture, design, crafts, techniques, and ‘how-to’ books with great gift ideas.
